Nossë Fólë (or House of Secrets) is responsible for uncovering the great mysteries and magic's of middle-earth and by so doing provide The Council its most powerful resource.

Members of the House of Secrets are those interested in light to heavy role-playing and/or have an affinity for Middle Earth Lore and History. This House supports its own custom series of quests and events as well as an in-character-only chat channel.

The Traders Council did not survive for 800 years by force and diplomacy alone, but rather in concert with great magic and greater knowledge. The founding Council was explicit in recognizing this fact even as particularly powerful forces were beginning to manifest themselves with the end of the Third Age. So it was that Nossë Fólë was commissioned, yet unlike the other Houses its charter was penned separately and most discreetly.

Unlike the the original charter detailing the other houses, the discussion and charter of Nossë Fólë - The House of Secrets - was concluded in a hidden chamber known only to the King of Gondor and using a parm-ëala or spirit-book (It is said that a parm-ëala's pages are bound using the spirit of a powerful rune-keeper, forever protecting and immortalizing its contents).

While other less enlightened members of The Council refer to us as the House of Secrets, there is no simple translation for our true charter - Nossë Fólë. We are the mystery, the magic, the lore, the hidden, the secret, the truth, the untold and the missing. We are as the wind flowing timeless through all places and passages, only a few drifting grains of sand to mark our presence.

Nossë Fólë Summary

Nossë Fólë members are divided into three circles of knowledge;

Rithil Nar or Circle of Fire - The Circle of Fire deals with knowledge of middle earth lore and the epic stories from its past and present. From the circle of fire one can hear the stories of life carried on the strings of a bards harp or the lips of a weary traveler.

 

Rithil Tur or Circle of Spirits - The Circle of Spirits deals with knowledge of magic, runes and all manner of the arcane arts for war and peace. The spirit is a force that none can lay asunder, its power is timeless and immortal, we dare not but reveal precious little for the Valar alone know its limits.

Rithil Ele or Circle of Stars - The Circle of Stars reveal the journey ahead, the adventurers quests and path's once lost and those often traveled.With a single star your path is revealed your quest is a spectacle, look up and you will find the way ahead, no path is ever that lonely.

 

Within each Circle Of Knowledge are three rings of membership, the Third Ring (and novice ring), the Second Ring and finally the First Ring signifying the ultimate mastery of a Circle. When you first join Nossë Fólë you will be asked to choose a Circle Of Knowledge to join based on your own interests. When you first join a Circle Of Knowledge you will start as an Initiate with no title, no role and no benefits. Each Circle Of Knowledge has specific milestones that you must reach in order to be promoted. These milestones include quests, merit levels and other goals specific to your Circle.

Each Circle of Knowledge has a primary area of research and in so doing is provided dedicated forum and website space for the purpose of discussion, stories, insight, news and reference materials for the benefit of all members.

All House of Secret roles are relatively passive and provide a basis for active role-playing. Members of this house can choose their own level of activity. Each Circle has various quests and achievement milestones that are provided, yielding their own rewards, promotions and other benefits within the kinship. Each player can have more than 1 character in the kinship and each character is allowed to join its own House.

Nossë Fólë Circles of Knowledge

Rithil Nar or Circle of Fire - Members of this circle are primarily concerned with the lore, history and series of events associated with epic books and ultimately the Fellowship of the Ring. These members contribute to designated forums and website areas regarding specific details that may help members complete their epic quests and gain insight into book and chapter updates.

Fëanáro or Master of Fire - Is the leader of the Rithil Nar. Only the Master of Fire can certify your progress within the Circle of Fire and have you reborn upon a higher ring.

 

Minyar Rithil Nar or First Ring of Fire - These members have achieved the highest state of learning and knowledge within Rithil Nar.

 

Tatyar Rithil Nar or Second Ring of Fire - These members have achieved great knowledge but have not quite mastered their understanding.

 

Nelyar Rithil Nar or Third Ring of Fire - These members have just begun there journey to master the Rithil Nar

 

Initiate - These recent House members have not yet been properly indoctrinated. Their white robes and slippers have yet to touch the fiery brands that will mark the beginning of their journey with fire.

Rithil Tur or Circle of Spirits - Members of this circle seek to uncover all knowledge of the arcane and in turn scribe guides and references which will aid all members in understanding their skills, spells, runes, artifacts and all other arcane elements.

Fëanturi or Master of Spirits - Is the leader of the Rithil Tur. Only the Master of Spirits can certify your progress within the Circle of Spirits and have you reborn upon a higher ring.

 

Minyar Rithil Tur or First Ring of Spirits - These members have achieved the highest state of learning and knowledge within Rithil Tur.

 

Tatyar Rithil Tur or Second Ring of Spirits - These members have achieved great knowledge but have not quite mastered their understanding.

 

Nelyar Rithil Tur or Third Ring of Spirits - These members have just begun there journey to master the Rithil Tur

 

Initiate - These recent House members have not yet been properly indoctrinated. Their white robes and slippers have yet to touch the spirit shapes that will mark their soul and being their journey.

Rithil Ele or Circle of Stars - Members of this circle seek to uncover general knowledge about the world and non-epic quests throughout middle-earth. For millenia the stars have been used to navigate the world and so Rithil Ele members focus on providing constructive information to help advance members on all non-epic paths. These members create maps, write quest guides, rep guides, generate references, provide insight, post news, start discussions and all other manner of generic information research and sharing.

Rithil Ele is the more "generic" of the Circles of Knowledge and not all of its members are consumed with knowledge, in fact many are your run of the mill adventurer taking notes along the way.

Fëanelen or Master of Stars - Is the leader of the Rithil Ele. Only the Master of Stars can certify your progress within the Circle of Stars and have you reborn upon a higher ring.

Initiate - These recent House members have not yet been properly indoctrinated. In their white robes and slippers their have yet to lay eyes on the pulsing star which will open their minds eye to the great horizon of knowledge before them.
