The House of Order is the central leadership House of The Council, its members all serve in various leadership roles that influence the course of the kinship.

The House of Order is specifically for those members who want to take an active role in the development of The Council. We do not view leadership as a means of exerting control but rather the faciliation of organization and features critical to successful gameplay.

Order Membership

Membership in the House of Order can only be obtained upon appointment by the Patron of Order or Vice-Patron of Order. Appointment to Order Roles is typically limited to those members who have demonstrated loyalty, overt generosity, patience and a consistent display of supporting and mentoring other members.

• All Order members assume active leadership roles with a commitment level relative to their position.
• All Order members are required to have a good deal of familiarity with the world and have at least one character of level 50 or higher
• All Order members must play on a regular basis or at least 10 hours a week (preferrably more)
• All Order members must have long term ambitions within The Council and LOTRO.
• All Order members serve as High Council Members within The Council (except Order Disciples, see below)

Order Roles / Titles

Patron / Matron Of Order ( Ontaro / Ontarë Ainu ) - Is the de-factor leader of The Council kinship, providing guidance and mentoring. (Very Active Role)

Vice-Patron of Order - (vit'Ontaro Ainu / vitOntarë Ainu ) - Is the kinships second in command. The Vice-Patron has complete authority in the absence of the Patron of Order and automatically assumes the role of Patron in the event of resignation or departure. (Very Active Role)

Treasury Councilor - Manages kinship inventories, works to raise gold and supplies, through events, donations and house dues, to benefit the kinship as a unit and its members. The Treasury Councilor also coordinates with the other Houses in provisioning items as rewards and merit bonuses. (Active Role)

The Oracle - This Order leader is responsible for the organized execution of the kinship story-board, the creation of player milestones, story benchmarks and all related honors and awards. The Oracle works with House Seers to coordinate benchmarks and kinship activity specific to House themes. (Active Role)

Order Herald - This Order leader serves as the kinship's primary spokesman, liaison to other kinships and recruitment officer. The Order Herald is responsible for authoring kinship news on our website, working with other Houses to meet recruitment goals and engaging other kinships for the purpose of productive alliances for shared events and socializing. (Somewhat Active Role)

Order Captain (1) - Order Captains are a rare breed of leader that provides general support to kinship members and provide leadership in the absence of other officers. (Less Active Role / On Call)

Order Captain (2) - A secondary captain role, same as above. (Less Active Role / On Call)

Special Ranks

Order Disciple - Every House of Order member can appoint 1 Order Disciple from any other House to support them in their role based tasks. Technically not House of Order members, Order Disciples simply support a House of Order member and are given the *Honored Member designation. Order Disciples can be called upon to fill the role of their appointing member as needed and are given first review to fill vacated roles. (Less Active Role / On Call)
